Mauer reaches 2,000-hit milestone with single

Twins first baseman Joe Mauer recorded the 2,000th hit of his career on Thursday against the White Sox with his second knock of the night, a seventh-inning single off Aaron Bummer. Mauer, in his 15th big league season, pulled a third-inning single off White Sox starter Lucas Giolito to close in on the milestone.
