Middleton to have Tommy John surgery
Angels reliever Keynan Middleton said Thursday that he will undergo Tommy John surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. The procedure, which typically entails a 12-to-18-month recovery period, will cost Middleton the remainder of the season and possibly the 2019 campaign as well.
