Patrick Willis (toe) placed on 49ers’ season-ending IR

Patrick Willis was placed on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday. The San Francisco 49ers linebacker has been hampered by turf toe since the team’s Week 6 win over the St. Louis Rams.
