Richards’ UCL damaged again, MRI reveals

The Angels’ seemingly ceaseless wave of injuries continued Wednesday, as the club announced that right-hander Garrett Richards underwent an MRI in Los Angeles that revealed damage to the ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing elbow. Richards is currently weighing whether to pursue conservative care or undergo Tommy John surgery to treat the injury.
