Rockies go extras again, but emerge victorious

Brandon Barnes perpetrated a simple, positive act that went a long way toward restoring baseball order. Barnes waited on Wesley Wright’s breaking ball and lashed a bases-loaded single into left field to drive in the Rockies’ go-ahead run in the 10th inning in a 6-4 victory over the Cubs on Wednesday night at Wrigley Field in front of 29,491.
