Rox stun D-backs with 19 runs in first 5 innings
The Rockies’ Ian Desmond set the tone for a loud evening at Coors Field by capping a five-run first inning with a bang. Desmond swatted a three-run homer a projected 472 feet — the eighth-deepest in the Majors this season — and had five RBIs in the first two innings as the Rockies built a 19-2 lead over the National League West-leading D-backs on Wednesday night.
