Royals rally past Tigers with 4-run 8th inning

Jorge Soler ripped a two-out, two-run single during a four-run rally in the eighth inning — tying a career high with a 10-game hitting streak — and he made a terrific sliding catch in foul territory in the ninth for the Royals. Whit Merrifield logged a tying sacrifice fly after Cheslor Cuthbert scored on a wild pitch in the eighth. JaCoby Jones’ two-run double had put the Tigers in front in the top of the eighth.
