Three-homer 3rd inning powers D-backs to win
The D-backs scored four runs in the third inning thanks to three home runs — off the bats of Paul Goldschmidt, Jake Lamb and David Peralta — as they went on to beat the Rockies, 9-4, on Friday night at Coors Field. The offense made a winner of Zack Greinke, who didn’t appear to have his best stuff in going just 5 2/3 innings. Goldschmidt would homer again in the ninth, his 10th long ball of the year.
