Walker’s back much better after night at home

Neil Walker was back in his own bed Sunday night after a 10-game road trip, and that’s exactly what his own back needed. The second baseman didn’t play in either of the Pirates’ final two games in a weekend set in Arizona due to back tightness. But he was in the starting lineup Tuesday against Miami, hitting fifth. He just needed a good night’s sleep on a familiar surface to help remedy the problem.
