Wright returns; Red Sox place Velazquez on DL

Prior to Monday’s game against the Oakland Athletics, the Boston Red Sox added right-handed pitcher Steven Wright to the active Major League roster and placed right-handed pitcher Hector Velazquez on the 10-day disabled list with a low back strain.
